Part One!!!

We finally have some time to put up lots of pictures!!! Today we picked up grapes in the morning for a few hours and now we have time to do all the little things that we usually don’t have time for. We finish picking up grapes next Wednesday. Right now the cantina is full of beautiful smells of the cooking must!

Here is the outside of our house-the acetaia nuova. We live on the second floor on the left. The bottom floor is offices and work space. Everywhere else is filled with barrels of vinegar!

The other picture is of the acetaia vecchia. The building is about 300 years old and houses lots of barrels of vinegar, the cantina, where must is cooked, and a small wine cellar! There are three floors and a shed built onto the outside. In the front of the house is an apartment where our friend Alex lives with his family. We pick up grapes with his mom Nadia. They have a small dog-half Chihuahua and half pincer that barks a lot!!

Here is Heli with vinegar. The painting in the background (as well as all the artwork in the acetaia) was done by Erika’s mom.
